My Paintings: series # 1 musicians
My process is reasonably common : I use my own photos and I often select parts from several photos to complete a composition. I usually do a drawing first; sometimes it is just a minor sketch and at other times I really try to analyse and study the subject in a drawing. However, I never transfer my drawing to canvas, and many times I eliminate parts of the drawing or add elements in the painting that were not originally there. I prefer to paint in oil but I also dabble here and there in acrylics.
